What’s The Most Popular Stolen Vehicle In Missouri?

I'm very lucky, I've never had my car stolen.  Now having said that, I have had my car ransacked. There was a time or two where I just didn't lock it and I guess kids rifled through it for change. I figure, geez, if you need it that bad, just take it. I don't keep anything valuable in my car anyway.

But, it's a sad truth - vehicles get stolen. Everyday. I'm not sure what they DO with these vehicles.  Some must go on joyrides, some must take em for parts, or to resell em. So are there vehicles that are more popular to steal than others? YOU BET.  The National Insurance Crime Bureau has compiled a list for each state of the cars and vehicles that are most frequently stolen. Here's the list for Missouri:

5. Chevrolet Impala 2008
6. Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee 2000

9. Toyota Camry 2007
10. Ford Taurus 2003

Wow, and they even tell you which YEAR model is more likely to be stolen. Watch out, 04 Ford pickup owners!
