Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday night in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2007 Dodge Ram truck, driven by 25-year-old Zachary S. Pifer of Warrensburg, was at US 50 and NE 501 Road (Colton's) around 7 p.m., when he pulled into the path of a westbound 2014 Mazda CX9, driven by 47-year-old Gayle S. Suppes of Grain Valley. The Dodge struck the Mazda.

Pifer and Suppes both suffered minor injuries and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by private vehicle.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
