I have had my Rat Terrier for almost 9 years now. He is my joy, my best friend, that shoulder to cry on, he keeps my deepest secrets, and loves me unconditionally. Everybody knows that I have a HUGE passion for our four-legged friends. Any animal I may see stranded, abandoned, or just looking for a home, or some food, I am ALWAYS there to give a helping hand. This passion runs deeps with me and I cannot stress to people how important it is to keep your pets spayed or neutered and practice responsible ownership over animals. Anyways...back to my dog, Dodger

My baby boy has allergies which means his food is extremely expensive and hard to find. And finding him treats is even harder. But I have a recipe for Dodger that any dog can have (humans too!) Your best friend will roll over for these easy, inexpensive treats!

Ingredients

1 1/2 Cups of Whole Wheat flour

1 Cup of All Purpose flour

1/2 Cup of  Powdered skin milk

1/2 Cup of Oats

1 Egg

1 Cup of water

2 Tbsp of Wheat Germ

1 Cup of Peanut Butter

Directions

Combine flour, milk, HALF of the oats, wheat germ, and peanut butter. Mix on low and add 1 egg and 1 cup of water. Flour the table and put the dough on floured table. Start to knead the dough with your hands and then grab a rolling pin to roll the dough to be about 1/2 inch thick. You can use any cookie cutter, but I prefer bone shaped cutters! Place cookies on parchment paper and cookie sheet and sprinkle remaining oats on top. Place in to a preheated oven of 325 Degrees for 1 hour.

Happy puppy= SUCCESS!!!

Enjoy! -- Lexy
