As promised yesterday, a new Wonder Woman trailer has arrived and it is PACKED with new footage — from Diana’s home world of Themyscira (aka Paradise Island, which sounds like Jimmy Buffet’s jam) to the deadly realm of man (aka Earth), there’s a whole lot to unpack in the latest sneak peek at Gal Gadot’s first solo movie. And since it doesn’t arrive until next summer, we have plenty of time to take it all in.

Despite the fact that Wonder Woman doesn’t hit theaters until next June, WB has been pretty generous with teasers, sneak peeks and trailers — the latest of which arrives in theaters this week with Doctor Strange. The new trailer will also debut online tomorrow (you don’t even need to leave your house to see it; thanks, internet!), but you can get a quick sneak peek right now courtesy of Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot.

It’s been an amazing year for Wonder Woman fans. Following Gal Gadot‘s on-screen debut as Diana Prince in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the trailers for her solo movie, and confirmation of the the character’s bisexuality, Wonder Woman also turned 75th anniversary this week. To celebrate her long history on the page and screen, United Nations named Wonder Woman an Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Women and Girls under their new global gender advocacy program. So while it’s been a bad week for women in real-life thanks to Wednesday night’s American Horror Story: The Presidential Debates, at the very least, we have a female superhero making strides.

Wonder Woman's comic book role as an ambassador for peace and equality to the whole world is becoming more literal than would have seemed possible, as she has been named an honorary ambassador by the United Nations.

Although fans have seen plenty of recent disappointments in the DC cinematic universe’s latest offerings, we’re all holding out hope for next summer’s Wonder Woman. She was one of the better parts of Batman v. Superman, and her solo film’s fantastic trailer starring Gal Gadot shook up the San Diego Comic Con in July. For the upcoming 75th anniversary of the character, Gadot talked a bit about her new movie and how director Patty Jenkins chose to tell a simple story.

The Funko Pop craze shows no signs of slowing down, and yesterday the manufacturer announced perhaps its most inevitable line of Pop Vinyls yet, featuring the core cast of Batman: The Animated Series. It also announced a new line of Dorbz based around Green Lantern and the various Lantern Corps and, in a delightful surprise, a line of Mystery Minis based around DC Super Heroes & Pets.

Professor Marston & The Wonder Women, a film launching production this week, purports to be the true story of Wonder Woman's credited creator, William Moulton Marston, and the two women with whom he lived in a polyamorous marriage, Elizabeth Holloway and Olive Byrne, but it remains to be seen what version of the story it will tell.

Gender is far from the only thing that separates Wonder Woman from her DC Comics peers Superman and Batman. One rather dramatic difference that has grown more and more pronounced over the course of the last three decades is the fluidity of the character’s origins. Jill Thompson’s Wonder Woman: The True Amazon responds to the ambiguity around Wonder Woman's origins, not simply by filling a perceived hole with an analogue to Batman: Year One, but rather by capitalizing on that fluidity to tell a Wonder Woman story unlike any other.
