St. Patrick's Day

Everyone enjoys putting on their best green clothes on March 17 and being Irish for a day. We’ve all heard there was a saint and something to do with snakes in Ireland and now we have parades and drink green beer. But what do we really know about St. Patrick’s Day?

We have our Lucky Leprechaun contest going on, brought to you by Bing's Grocery Stores. This got me thinking: who are the best or most famous leprechauns of all time? So I made my very own Mt. Rushmore of famous leprechauns.

In light of our Lucky Leprechaun contest, I have found found a couple videos that document a real leprechaun sighting and might explain where Leprechauns actually come from.

The St. Patrick's Day party at Dukes & Boots was my final party appearance for KIX 105.7.  There were a lot of people dressed in green and pitchers of green beer flowed.  I made sure to have a large helping of the corned beef and cabbage special too. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591 Lady Auxiliary hosted the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Downtown Sedalia on Saturday, Mar. 16. This year's theme was " Lucky 13 - Go For the Gold." There were many kids and families who participated in the cake walk at the VFW Building before the parade, then took their bikes and rode along with about 40 parade entries down Ohio Street...
