Act fast, Los Angeles-area Beatles fans: A distinctive treehouse-style cottage that reportedly served as a dwelling for John Lennon is back on the market.

The current owner of John Lennon's boyhood home is looking for a larger garden, so he's putting the historic red-bricked terrace house up for auction later this month. The late Beatle's first home will go to the highest bidder on Oct. 29.

World War II veteran John Potter is in the process of being evicted from the Zaleski, Ohio house he built 56 years ago. But the villain of this story isn't some heartless bank bureaucrat. Instead it's Potter own daughter, Janice Cottrill, who's using the power of attorney that Potter had given to her to throw her father out on the street.

I was driving down Grand shortly after 7 p.m. and noticed some Sedalia Police cars and an ambulance at the intersection with 14th.   A Chevy pickup truck struck a the corner of 1400 S. Grand just moments before.  I did not get an opportunity to speak with the driver or authorities.
