Richie Havens, the folk singer who famously opened the Woodstock Music and Arts Festival, has died at the age of 72.

Chrissy Amphlett, the lead singer of the Australian band the Divinyls, died on Sunday, April 21, at the age of 53. The singer, best known for the 1991 smash 'I Touch Myself,' reportedly died at home in New York City following bouts with breast cancer and multiple sclerosis.

Jonathan Winters, a titan of comedy on both the big and small screens, passed away at the age of 87.

Robert "RZ" Zildjian, the founder of the Sabian Cymbal Company, died on Wednesday (March 27) at the age of 89 after a long battle with cancer. The news was announced on Sabian's website.

If you've seen any of the 23 James Bond movies, you're familiar with British trumpet player Derek Watkins. The session player also sat in with Eric Clapton, the Beatles, Elton John and more during a nearly 50-year career. Watkins died on Friday (March 22) after a two year battle with cancer.

Pioneering British guitarist Peter Banks has died. Best known for his work as the original guitarist in the seminal progressive rock band Yes, the musician was a trailblazer in the progressive rock movement of the '70s that also spawned Genesis, Pink Floyd, ELP and Jethro Tull. He passed away last Friday (March 8) at his home in London at the age of 65.

I can not tell you how many hours I have spent listening to Alvin Lee in my life.  Whether it was when he was with Ten Years After or solo, whether it was balls out rock and roll or one of the sweetest blues guitars ever.  Sadly, Alvin passed away Wednesday morning. Dan Toler, a southern rock guitar great who was part of the Allman Brothers Band family, has died near his hometown of Sarasota, Fla. He was 65.

Reg Presley, lead singer for the Troggs, has passed away after losing a battle with lung cancer. Presely, 71, died at home today (Feb. 4) in Andover, England.
