The CW’s Black Lightning may not have filmed an official pilot, or premiere until midseason, but the electric hero is nonetheless ready to light it up. The first trailer is here, along with some bad news for those expecting Black Lightning to cross over with the other CW heroes.

After five years’ worth of flashbacks, Arrow is likely to reinvent itself for Season 6 this fall. Missions will change, cast will change, and certain figures that defined the early years may become scarce. In fact, John Barrowman’s Malcolm Merlyn may exit the Arrow-verse altogether, according to the actor’s cryptic tease.

Just as Arrow suits up for its final episodes of Season 5, the end is already here. The end for all CW shows, that is, as everyone from Supergirl to Jane The Virgin and those sexy murder-teens at Riverdale set season (or series) finale dates from May through June.

The CW has enough superheroes for one lifetime, between Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow, to say nothing of DC outliers like FOX’s Gotham. Well, get ready for another superhero (or villain?) to join the ranks in 2017, as those in the know say there’s another DC TV series on the way

On this week’s episode, it’s Christmas time in Star City, and Prometheus is cooking up some evil deeds! “What We Leave Behind” was directed by Antonio Negret from a script by Wendy Mericle and Beth Schwartz.

Apart from its 100th episode, Arrow Season 5 promises to bring fans to another major milestone for the series; completing the five-year flashback cycle that defined the early days. As such, we can cross one scene off the Season 5 finale next year, as a scene from the pilot will have Oliver in tatters once again.

Now that all the extended trailers and sneak peeks are out in the open, we still need Supergirl to kick off the big “Invasion!” crossover this coming Monday. So it is with our first “Medusa” clip, that Thanksgiving dinner gets a very Flash-y entrance at an unexpected moment.

We’ve less than a week before DC’s alien Dominators begin the four-part “Invasion” of Supergirl, Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow, but given at least half of The CW’s DC dramas traffic in time-travel, the invasion may already have begun. If there’s one thing Supergirl got shortchanged on, it’s hanging out with all the various heroes of The CW’s DC dramas. No longer, as our first new crossover “Invasion!” footage features Kara Zor-El blissfully meeting the heroes and Legends of another universe.
