Stay On The Nice List – Swim With Santa and the Sedalia Parks and Rec
Admittedly, you guys, I don't have any young kids in my house or in my immediate radar on the daily. But I remember what it was like.
Around this time of year, it can be hard on the kids to get some of that energy out. After all, they can't really play Too much outside, with the cold and sometimes wet weather. Sure, books are great, TV is okay, but there's nothing like getting out and having some fun if you're a little one.
And one of the things I bet a lot of kids miss around this time of year is going swimming! I know I associate going to the pool with summertime, but it doesn't have to be. After all, the Heckart Community Center does have indoor swimming options. Plus, your little ones can get a chance to swim... WITH SANTA.
Yep, the big man himself along with Mrs. Claus will be at the Heckart coming up on December 15th (that's a Friday). They'll be there for a few hours, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., so just enough time for you to go by with the kids after work and before supper/bed time. Or, if you're daring, go after dinner (just don't blame me if you get a stomach ache. That might be an old wives tale, though).
It's not a special extra charge, either. It's the same cost that it would be on a normal night. If you've got a membership with the Heckart, it's free, as always. If you don't, it's the same normal admission price for an evening swim.
So there you go, you've got the deets. Now all you need to do is show up, swim, and have fun! And be extra good, to make sure you're still on the nice list.
Swimmingly yours,
Behka
