Songs Stuck In Doug’s Head: When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman

It's time for another installment of "Songs Stuck In Doug's Head" that may not get played nearly as much as they used to or is something that should get more airplay. I remember as a youth playing Dr. Hook on my walkman.  When You're In Love With A Beautiful Woman came out in 1979, when I was all of one-years-old, but I came to love the songs Dr. Hook put out. It may have been some of the last disco that came out, but the song hit the top 10 in the Billboard charts and was even redone by Conway Twitty in 1990. That probably means it is time for somebody else to pick up the baton and see what creativity can come about with this song.  It is nice to know that while the full lineup of Dr. Hook isn't together, founder Dennis Locorriere is still touring with the Dr. Hook Timeless World Tour, maybe he'll come to the States and entertain us once again!
