Rapper and hip-hop artist Ludacris will headline the Missouri State Fair Grandstand show on Friday, August 16. Ludacris joins a fair line-up that includes rockers Foreigner, rising Country star Warren Zeiders, and Christian artist Tauren Wells.

Chris "Ludacris" Bridges has sold more than 24 million albums and hit singles like "Stand Up", "Get Back", "Southern Hospitality", "Number One Spot", "Money Marker" and "My Chick Bad". Ludacris is often cited as one of the first Dirty South rappers to achieve mainstream success in the 21st Century.

Ludacris has won three Grammy Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Critic's Choice Award, and an MTV Video Music Award. He's also portrayed Tej Parker in the Fast & Furious film series. He's also appeared in 2004's "Crash", 2009's "Gamer", and 2011's "New Year's Eve". In 2021 he created and starred in the kid's show Karma's World on Netflix.

Opening for Ludacris will be rapper, singer-songwriter, and Country artist Dax. Dax found himself on the top of the charts with his #1 Billboard hit "Dear Alcohol". His creativity, electrifying performances, and soulful lyrics have made him a force on social media with 10 million TikTok views and 7 million YouTube Views.

Dax wasn't always a big hip-hop fan although he did go through a phase growing up where he listened to Tupac. That changed when Drake took over the scene. Additionally, he cites 50 Cent and Lil Wayne as influences and compares his style to artists like Eminem, Hospin, and Missouri's own Tech N9ne.

Tickets for Ludacris With Dax are $60 for seats on the track and $50 for seats in the grandstand. Tickets do not include fair admission and all concert seats are reserved.

Tickets go on sale for Ludacris and all Missouri State Fair grandstand shows at 9:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, May 21 through Etix. The Missouri State Fair Box Office opens at noon on July 1, 2024, for walk-up orders while tickets remain.
