WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- It's a busy week on the campus of the University of Central Missouri with the fall sports kicking off their seasons and the annual Get the Red Out Street Fair signaling the beginning of another year at UCM.

The 13th-ranked Jennies Volleyball team gets everything started on Thursday afternoon when they host Western State of Colorado at 3 p.m. at the UCM Multipurpose Building in the first game of the Peggy Martin Challenge.

The Get the Red Out Street Fair will run from 4-6:30 p.m. on Holden Street between Clark and South Streets. Now in its 11th year, Get the Red Out has become a popular tradition at UCM, and a great opportunity for the community and the campus to show their support for UCM athletics, while also celebrating a new academic year. This free event features fun for the whole family, and includes inflatables and games for the kids, hoop shooting with the Mules and Jennies basketball teams, food and more.

The street fair leads up to the season-opener for 20th-ranked Mules Football as they host Missouri Western at 7 p.m. at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field. Mule Train donors are invited to the pre-game tailgate beginning at 5 p.m. in the Mule Train tailgate area located just west of Walton Stadium. Guests that are interested in joining the Mule Train may accompany members at a cost of $10 for adults and $5 for children. Non-Mule Train members wishing to tailgate may park in the "Mule Stable" lot north of The Crossing. Responsible tailgating for those 21 and over begins in designated lots at 4 p.m. and concludes at the end of halftime.
