As you guys know, Christmas is coming up fast.  The kids need to get their updated wish lists to Mr. Kringle ASAP.

The Thanksgiving-through-New Year's season is the biggest EATING SEASON of the year . . . and that's saying something, since we're a country that likes its eating.

Everyone tips servers and bartenders.  But according to Yahoo, you're stiffing other people you should ALSO be tipping . . .

According to a new survey, the time of the week when you're most likely to drink wine is . . . 6:53 P.M. on a Wednesday.  Also, people slightly prefer red wine over white wine . . . and are more likely to drink wine at home than at a restaurant or bar.

It's amazing we all go out to eat 13 times a week, considering we HATE it so much.  A new survey asked people for their biggest complaints about restaurants, and we nitpick EVERYTHING.

Now that I'm officially a married old bitty, I can't explain how great it is to never have to date anybody again.  According to a new survey, 50% of people on dating sites say they're embarrassed or ashamed to be there.  Only 18% of people have no problem telling everyone they're doing online dating.  32% only tell close friends and relatives.

I'm a nicknamer.  It's just something I've always done.  I have nicknames for most everybody in my life - and I've always had different ones for my love interests over the years.

You might not remember this, but a few years back I bought my childhood home from my father. He lives with Boyfriendo and I, and we've settled in nicely.

So, gentle reader, let me tell you a story.  Just  this past Thursday, Boyfriendo and I went out to run some errands after work.

According to a news release from the City of Sedalia, the fourth annual Citywide Citizens Survey is now complete. The purpose of the yearly survey is to provide a base measurement for public opinion of city services. Further, it helps to point out what areas of city government are in need of improvement.
