Accidents happen. I get it. Sometimes, they're unavoidable. There are a lot of people in town who are not familiar with how Sedalia is laid out. Some of them are here for the Fair, some are here just for work, some are just passing through. But this is the last weekend of the Missouri State Fair, and I hope we don't have any more of the accidents we've had this past week.

I saw one happen in front of the Dairy Queen on Limit - a black truck hit a little sedan type car.

There was that one at 10th and Thompson that knocked out the power for hours.

And then there was what looked like at least a three car accident on Wednesday at the busiest intersection in town.

I was stopped at the light, I didn't see it happen. But someone did nearly hit me on Fourth street that same day. She was on her phone.

I know we all want to be careful drivers at all times, but maybe this weekend, let's be a little more alert. There are so many people in town, and I know nobody wants to get hurt, or hurt anybody.

So maybe slow down, put down your phone, and stay safe, people.

Drivingly yours,
Behka
