Bothwell Foundation To Host Medicare Simplified Seminar October 12
The Bothwell Foundation’s Community Relations committee will host a free Medicare Simplified seminar at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 12 at Bothwell Health Center - Truman Lake in Warsaw.
The seminar is a presentation for those currently enrolled or preparing to enroll in a Medicare program. Attendees can expect to hear from skilled professionals on all topics pertaining to Medicare. Panel experts include guests from Missouri SHIP – State Health Insurance Assistance Program and a Bothwell staff member.
Panel experts will share tips for enrolling in Medicare, choosing the right coverage plan, how to lower Medicare costs and the resources needed to navigate the insurance program.
Cliff Callis, Community Relations chair, said the committee hopes to empower those who attend the seminar to comfortably make informed health care decisions.
“Understanding the vast topic of Medicare can sometimes seem daunting,” Callis said. “Many of us don’t know where to start in approaching the complex world of health care coverage. Our committee is dedicated to educating the community on all aspects of health care that Bothwell provides, including the insurance options for that care. This seminar will feature Medicare experts who can answer any questions you may have regarding your coverage."
People interested in attending the free seminar should register by Oct. 10 by contacting Lauren Thiel-Payne, Bothwell Foundation executive director, at lthiel@brhc.org or 660-829-7786. Bothwell’s Truman Lake clinic is located at 1765 Commercial St. in Warsaw. Complimentary lunch will be provided.
The Community Relations Committee is also organizing tours of Bothwell hospital for area clubs and organizations. Those interested in touring the hospital should contact Thiel-Payne.
