92.3 Bob-FM is the home of the 80s, 90s and Whatever and today's Look Back definitely fits under the category of Whatever, but deals with my childhood.

When I was a kid, one of my favorite movies was 'Beetlejuice' and the movie was full of fun and laughter. From the Zagnut scene to the major no-no of saying 'Beetlejuice' three times to endless other moments. However, one of my favorite scenes was when everyone was sitting around the table and suddenly a jam and dance sequence breaks out to the song 'Day-o' and became one of the classic scenes of the movie.

However, since I was only ten-years-old when the movie came out in 1988, the age of the song was lost on me, but I definitely enjoyed it.

For those unfamiliar Day-O was originally done by Harry Belafonte and it originally came out in 1957. It was on this day in rock history (January 7) in 1957 that Day-O, hit #5 on the charts.

The song has also been done by Sarah Vaughan, Shaggy and even Lil Wayne, just to prove that songs sometimes truly can take on the test of time.

However, I now have the need to go watch Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.......
