Redbox recently polled 800 customers to see how many people watch scary movies.  57% of people said they like watching scary movies, and 55% plan to watch at least one around Halloween this year.

But they also asked people HOW they watch scary movies.  Here are the five things they found . . .

1.  92% of people who watch scary movies prefer watching them at home, as opposed to going to the movies.

2.  73% turn off all the lights to make it scarier.

3.  52% of us refuse to watch them alone.

4.  50% sometimes get spooked by random noises after watching one.

5.  And 31% have STOPPED watching a scary movie because they got too scared.

People were also asked to rank the scariest movies of all time, and "The Exorcist" came in first.  The rest of the top five are "A Nightmare on Elm Street" . . . "The Shining" . . . the original "Halloween" . . . and "The Silence of the Lambs".

And Freddy Krueger from "A Nightmare on Elm Street" topped the list of scariest villains.

What are some of your favorite scary movies?  Who's the scariest villain for you?

Scaredly yours,
Behka
