On Thursday, April 11, the Sacred Heart track team competed in the Lexington High School Bill Hamann Invitational.

With sunny but extremely windy conditions, the Gremlins top performances included:

4x800m relay - 1st place (8:47.49)
4x400m relay - 2nd place (3:40.16)
Sophomores Logan Howell, Max Van Leer, Jared Owens and senior Jackson Manning

1600m run - 2nd (4:58.71) senior Jackson Manning
1600m run - 3rd (5:03.39) sophomore Jared Owens

400m dash - 2nd (55.23) sophomore Max Van Leer

Sacred Heart competes at Versailles on Monday, April 15.

It was a truly wonderful week for the Gremlin Middle School track team.  It started off at Smithton, then Cole Camp, and ended up at a big meet at Smith-Cotton.

Eri Steeves had a "Rock Star" week in which she won the 800 and 1600-meter runs at all three locations.  She is coming dangerously close to her entire school record times in both of these events.

Mason Trelow won the 100 and 200-meter dashes at Smithton and a 2nd in the 200 at Cole Camp.  He also won the long jump at Cole Camp and came in 2nd  at Smithton and Smith-Cotton.

Carson Bench won 2nd in the 100 and 200 at Smithton right on the heels of Trelow.

Filip Perets was 3rd in the 100-meter hurdles at Smithton and Cole Camp, and took home a 3rd in the triple jump at Smithton.

Maggie Van Leer won 2nd at Smithton and 3rd at Cole Camp in the Shot Put.

Tayen Whited finished 3rd in the triple jump at Smithton.

The Boys 4 by 200 team of  Trelow, Bentch, Diego Lopez and Jaxon Twenter won the Smithton Relays and came in 2nd at Cole Camp.
The Boys 4 by 400 team consisting of Lopez, Twenter, Peretrs, and Miles Hostetler,  won at Cole Camp and finished 2nd at Smithton.

The Boys 4 by 100 team consisting of Johnhenry Cordia, Armando Mercado, Christian Almazon, and Jonah Page finished 3rd at Smithton.

“It was a great week. A special thanks to all the track fans and transporters.  We could not do this without you,” said Coach Schwartz.
