The Sacred Heart boys traveled to the great town of Marshall and competed in the Marshal Tri meet at the beautiful Indian Foothills golf course.

It was a great day in many aspects: The best team score of the year, an eagle, a broken club and a junior varsity win. The varsity blew away their season low by 10 strokes, shooting a 162.

Leading the way again, Luke Jenkins fired an even par 36 including five pars and two birdies placing him in a three-way tie for second. Zander Jackson continues to remain steady and improved his score shooting a 39, which included six and a birdie. Grant Goodwin had a great afternoon bringing home a 43 with three pars. Next, Gavin Caldwell PR’d with a 44 with four pars. Rounding at the varsity, Spencer Aeschbacher hung in there and recorded a 51 with two pars.

On the JV side, Thomas Jenkins lead the way with a PR- 47 including three pars. Next, Andreas Venegas and Traven Wheeler both PR’d with a 49 with Andreas having one par and draining a 70-yard shot for the team's first Eagle of the year and Traven blasting his driver head off his club on 13 with several holes to still play. Tyler Twitter PR’d with a steady 50 including two pars and Kaleb Schaffer carded a 56 with one par.  James Russell continued to improve shooting a 60 with one par and additionally continuing to show signs of improvement, Austin Perez ended with 62.

“The young men have geared up all week and are ready to travel to Clinton Country Club Thursday to compete in the Kasinger Conference tournament,” the coach said.

Next week is the Sacred Heart Invitational starting April 15.
