YouTuber Shane Dawson has come under fire for a joke he made in 2015 about sexually abusing his cat.

This all started when an old clip from Dawson's podcast, Shane and Friends, resurfaced on Twitter over the weekend. In it, he tells the story about the time he dry-humped his pet before he "came all over [it]." It's incredibly graphic and disturbing. "The things I've done to my poor animals, they will never love me. I've done terrible things," he says before describing one experience in particular—in which he performs unthinkable acts on his cat.

“I laid my cat down on her back. I didn’t penetrate. I laid the cat down on her back and I moved her little chicken legs, you know, spread apart. If I just hump, like, on her tummy, that’s not weird so I humped and I humped and I kept going and I came all over the cat. It was, like, my first sexual experience. I was also, like, 19," he explained.

Now, in a series of tweets, Dawson has defended himself and is denying ever doing those things to his animal. He also apologized for the remarks, saying he only told the "fake" story for shock value.

"I didn't f--k my cat. I didn't cum on my cat. I didn't put my d--k anywhere near my cat. I've never done anything weird with my cats," he began his lengthy Twitter rant. "I promised myself I wasn't going to make apology videos after last years thing so I'm just trying to be as short and honest with this as possible."

"That story was fake and was based on a dumb awful sketch idea I had years ago that I never made," the 30-year-old confirmed. "When the opportunity came up for a funny moment in the podcast I told it as if it was a real story which was DISGUSTING and VERY VERY DUMB."

"It's embarrassing and I f--king hate myself for it," he continued.

"So I'm sorry for what I said about my cat, I'm sorry for what I said about anything or anyone that was offensive, and I'm sorry for being someone who thought being super offensive and shocking all the time was funny. I'm sorry for my past," Dawson wrote, before promising to make things right moving forward.
