We may finally get a little snow to get into the Christmas spirit, however some ice can come into play and make it feel frightful, according to Sedalia/Pettis County EMA Director David Clippert.

Pettis County has been placed in a Winter Weather Advisory effective from 6 PM tonight until 9 AM Thursday.

We are now in the 1-3 inch range for snow which could start as early as 5 PM tonight until 11 AM Thursday with the heaviest bands ...occurring between midnight and 6 AM Thursday. Snow could also switch to freezing drizzle Thursday morning.

Winter Weather Advisories are issued when snow, sleet or freezing rain/drizzle can have an effect on driving with slick roads and limited visibility.

Give yourself plenty of time tomorrow, slow down and drive defensively. Even if it doesn't snow we could still have freezing drizzle which will make the roads very slick with a sheen of ice.

Remember that if the conditions do get bad, that we have the cancellations for you. We already have one.
