Today  I got the chance to speak with Sam Trelow, a board member for the Smithton Town and Country Fair. It happens this year from July 11-13.Here's a quick look at some of the happenings:

The First events on Thursday are an Art, Home Economics, Creative Crafts and Flower show at 9:00.  That evening, there will be a parade at 6:30 p.m and the Miss Pettis County Coronation with Children’s games and the Auctioneer’s Bid Contest.

On Friday at 9:00, the Swine Show begins followed by a Children’s Pedal Pull and Tractor Pull beginning at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, there will be a barbecue at the City Park beginning at 7:00 a.m. and a Beef/Sheep/Goat Show, Garden Tractor Pull, Pie Baking Contest, Ice Cream Freezing Contest, Baby Contest, Children’s Games, the Super Farmer Contest and Pig Dressing. There will be concessions and commercial booths as well. Exhibits will be in the  Multipurpose Room.
