Here's a look at the events going on in the area this weekend. 

The Longwood Presbyterian Church will have their Ice Cream Supper.

It’ll take place on July 20 from 4:00 p.m. on, serving home made ice cream, pie, cake, hot dogs, and drinks.  The cost is a free will donation.  The proceeds for the event go towards the building and maintenance programs.  The public is invited.  The location of the supper is the fellowship hall at the Longwood Presbyterian Church, four miles south of Marshall Junction on 65 highway, three miles east on State Road BB.

Robert Woolery Sr Memorial Pow Wow will take place in the Ag Building. 

They’ll have Indian Fry Bread, Indian Tacos, Indian Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. They’ll also have a great shop with the trader, and you can watch the dances or listen to the drums.  This year's entertainment includes Alex Esa as the Head Singer, Brian Horse-Whitaker as the Head Male Dancer, and Theresa Flores as the Head Lady Dancer.  The honoree this year is Harvey Payne, the Princess is Chante Falcon, and Bob Woolery will be the emcee.  Roger Crane and Shane Adams are the area directors.  They’ll have free admission, free parking, and free entertainment!  The Stomp dance will be after the Friday and Saturday Dances.  Bring your own chairs or you can sit on the bleachers.  All of this is brought to you by the Native American Council for Cultural Awareness. Don’t forget that it’ll all be held in the air conditioned comfort of the Ag Building from July 19-21.  The dance starts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, the Gourd Dance is at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday with Intertribal from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and the Grand Entry at 7:00 p.m.  On Sunday, they’ll have the dance at 1:00 p.m. Times are approximate.

Tipton's Towne Square Days Continues through July 20.

This Friday, they'll have their Truck and Tractor pull.  It'll be on Friday at the Tipton Fairgrounds.  They'll have two sleds, The General and the Flat Top Express.  You can check out everything from the Showroom Stock Gas Pickups to the 10,000 heavy farm, all the way to the Stock Tractors and the Cut Tire Tractors.  They'll start at 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, they'll have a huge ATV Rodeo starting with the signup at 5:00 p.m. and the racing beginning at 7:00 p.m.  They'll have different classes like pee wee, farmstock, powder puff, pro stock, limited/modified, and open modified.  They'll also have barbecue box lunches available. The Brandon United Methodist Church in Windsor will have it’s annual church homecoming celebration.

It’ll take place on Saturday, July 20 at 6:00 p.m. and will feature the River Berry Players.  The church will provide a large canopy for shade and food.  Some seating will be available, but you are invited to bring a lawnchair or a blanket.  Free will donations will be accepted to defer the cost of food and music.   For more information, call John Streit at 660-647-3467.

St Paul's Lutheran Church will have their Monthly Baby Shower. 

Do you have a new baby in the family? Let us celebrate with you! Come to St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sedalia on Sunday, July 21 at 3 pm. We’ll play new baby games, have gifts for you and your baby and then enjoy some light refreshments. We want to celebrate with your family.
