Sedalia Sleuthing: Finding The Dr Spencer Kid

You've heard it. I know you have. 

When I started here at Townsquare it was Bick Broadcasting.  That was back in 2004. This ad was playing then. It's still playing today. I'm sure you probably heard it today.  I've heard it so many times, I have it memorized. It's not a bad thing, though, it's charming.

So my mind started to wander. I thought, "You know, that ad was around for years and years. Wait.... that kid must be an adult now. He's probably in his late twenties or early thirties by now!"

I started asking around. I asked Jenn, the sales rep for Doctor Spencer, if Doctor Spencer's office knew who it was.  For a second, we thought it might be Doctor Spencer's son, but that was a dead end. In fact, nobody in the good doctor's office had any idea who the kid was.

Then I had to think a little. Who actually made the ad? I heard a familiar voice in it, someone who used to work at our competitor across town (and has sadly left his earth too soon). Maybe they know! I called... and no go.  The sales manager, Sally, didn't have a chance to call me back.

So then I turned to social media, like one does. I posted on Facebook and included the ad. I'm now waiting to see if anybody steps forward or volunteers some information.

This mystery has to be solved, Sedalia. I have to know, who is the Dr Spencer kid? Do you know him? Where is he now? Did Dr Spencer fit him with braces that look really sweet?
