Sedalia DARE Officer Selected To Fly With Thunderbirds

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. – Mr. Derrick DeSalme, an officer with the Sedalia police department was selected to fly with the U.S. Air Force Demonstration Squadron, Thunderbirds, on Thursday, June 11.

Officer DeSalme has been with the Sedalia Police department for a year and has had a positive impact on the department and Sedalia community. During Christmas Officer DeSalme purchased coats and presents for so local children could enjoy the holiday season. DeSalme is also a DARE instructor where he teaches children in middle school about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
