One Arrested In Sunday Afternoon Shooting Near 18th & Sneed
On Sunday, April 21 at 3:26 p.m., Sedalia Police Patrol Officers and Pettis County Deputies responded to the area of West 18th Street and South Sneed Avenue for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, Officers located a male victim, 21-year-old Felix Cooley, near the intersection and suffering from a gunshot wound. Cooley was taken by helicopter to a MU Medical Center for treatment.
Detectives in the Criminal Investigations Bureau were called in to process the scene and begin investigations. Two subjects were detained at the scene, one was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold.
20-year-old Davonta M. Hernton, was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Armed Criminal Action.
