Are Oatmeal Cookies The Most Deceptive, Evil Snack Ever?

There are several types of sweet treats in my house. I have something to confess.

There are few things more disappointing in everyday life than encountering an Oatmeal Raisin cookie in a plate of tasty delciousness. Every single time I will probably mistake it for a chocolate chip cookie. And when you want a chocolate chip cookie, the raisins are simply mocking you with their inferiority.

I know a lot of people love the oatmeal raisin cookie. I think I heard once that it's one of my bosses favorites. I know Husbando loves them. Oatmeal Raisin are his favorite, and it hasn't caused a divorce in our household YET.

I know they're "nature's candy". I know there's nothing wrong with a raisin. I'm a fan of the chocolate covered raisin, after all.

I WILL catch some Raisinets. Raisinets are delicious. But an oatmeal raisin cookie is not good enough in terms of the cookie kingdom. Almost always there's a little moment of excitement when I think it might be something.... that's it's just not. Maybe oatmeal raisin cookies should make a compromise for all of humanity and just always include chocolate chips. Then, you can have the raisin but also get the true joy that is chocolate.
