I've never been to an actual doctor that could tell me if I really have OCD.  I don't think I really do, or if I do, it's very mild. But for some reason, I have to do things in threes.  I think that's the only thing that I've noticed, anyway.  To the bathroom?  Wash your hands, then shake the water off in the sink three times.  Use the napkins, take three.

Use tissues to blow your nose?  Better take three.  Thinking of what to write next in a blog post at your desk?  Tap the counter three times.  Going to lock the front door? Wriggle the handle three times.  Patting the top of your cat's head?  Yep, three times. Stirring the sauce for dinner?  Tap that spoon on the pan three times. Locking your car door?  You're gonna push that button three times.

I don't even know if it is something I really noticed much before, but it's a thing that I've been doing for quite a while, apparently.  I don't think it's really a problem, it's just...a  thing that I do.  If I try to NOT do it though, the whole process just feels wrong.  Like my hands aren't clean if I don't shake the water off three times.  Or I'm not really locked in to the house if the handle isn't tested three times.  Heck, most of the time when I'm trying to give an example of something in a blog post, I have to give three examples.

Do you have any little weird things you do like that? Surely I can't be the only one that does this.  Tell me all about in in the comments!

Strangely yours,
Behka
