Personnel from multiple Johnson County Fire Protection District stations and the Warrensburg Fire Department battled a large residential structure fire on NE Division Road just outside of the city of Warrensburg Monday afternoon.

Crews conducted tanker shuttle operations, which involves hauling water to the scene after filling from nearby hydrants.

"If conducting school pick ups in the area (particularly Ridgeview and Maple Grove), use caution and be alert for fire apparatus traveling in the area," the JCFPD said in a Facebook post.

Division Road runs east and west and is located halfway between Highway 50 and Route DD.

The state fire marshal was requested and arrived on scene at 4:30 p.m. The fire was declared extinguished around 4:45 p.m.
