Christmas Came A Little Too Early At The Radio Station

Don't get me wrong, I like Christmas as much as the next guy.  But it's not even Thanksgiving yet!Our tradition in our house was always to get the Christmas tree up the weekend of the Sedalia Christmas Parade.  Dad and my sister would go get the tree while Mom and I got Papa Jake's and hot chocolate to watch the parade.  Then, afterward, we would decorate the tree.

I guess not everybody has to follow a tradition like that.  And people with small kids probably do get excited around Holiday Time. So color me a little surprised to see our little makeshift Christmas Tree up in the lobby.  We have a little fake tree that lights up and revolves, but that isn't out.  No, a different fake tree ended up getting decorated. It's cute enough, I guess. I shouldn't be a humbug.

But still.... probably would have been more appropriate to decorate next week, right? At least in my mind.  It might be that I'm not wanting Christmas to come so early. Maybe it's because I'm not that psyched about Christmas this year.  My sister has already done her shopping, and I haven't done a single thing.  I don't know what people want! And it's not like I have a ton of money just laying around to buy people thoughtful and elaborate gifts.

So I guess I should let people enjoy their Christmastime.  Do you have any decorations you put up every year? Have you gotten them out or up yet?
