Changes During The Star Spangled Banner at NFL Games

The Star Spangled Banner starts playing as everyone is finding their seats. heading to the concession stands and to the restrooms. Do you stop what you're doing as the National Anthem plays? 

Number one, as an american citizen and number two as a veteran, I stand and place my hand over my heart when the Star Spnagled banner is played at an event. If I'm wearing some type of headwear, I take it off. Now you can't be forced to do the same.

The NFL owners just passed a new policy that all players and team personnel must stand during the national anthem if they are on the field. If they kneel during the anthem, the individuals and teams are subject to fines. But here's the rest of the ruling...players can stay in the locker room if they want to, without penalty.

This is going to pacify some folks but it may also stir up the hornet's nest from last year. It will be interesting to see how this goes as the games start this season.
