Thanks to generous business and community leaders, the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri’s auction gala, An Evening of Heart & Hope, presented by W-K Chevrolet, is sold out for the first time.

The annual auction gala, celebrating its 25th year in 2015, is the Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year and features live and silent auctions, raffles, games and, new this year, a special guest speaker – former Kansas City Chiefs player Kevin Lockett.

Though tickets to the auction are sold out, there are still several ways the public can support the Club.  Two special Auction games are still open to the public from now until February 6. The Club will raffle off a side of beef, donated by McCollester Farms with processing donated by Alewel’s Country Meats. Prices are six chances for $5, 12 chances for $10 or 40 chances for $20.

Several designer purses will also be raffled off. Those interested can choose between different purses created by Michael Kors, Coach, Fossil or Dooney & Burke with suggested retail values between $200 and $660. Prices are three chances for $20 or 10 chances for $50. Photos of the purses can be found on the Club’s Facebook page.

The winners of both the purse and beef raffles will be announced during An Evening of Heart & Hope but need not be present to win. For more information or to buy tickets, contact Meghan Jeffreys at 826-8331.

The Club is also continuing its special SAY Yes sponsorship drive through the end of February. All monies donated to the SAY Yes Fund will go directly toward allowing area youth to attend the Club’s after school programming, despite their family’s financial circumstances.
