As the school year gets closer and closer, it's a good time to look back and applaud all the reading our students did this summer.  And what better way to do that than with a Fizz, Boom, Celebrate!  The young patrons of Boonslick Regional Library in Sedalia are invited to the end of the summer reading programs party to celebrate their summer reading accomplishments.  Join in on Thursday, July 31 at 12 noon in the library meeting room.  Bring your lunch and prepare to be amazed by “Mad Science” of Kansas City.  The Mad Scientist will defy gravity, create didgeridoo tubes, foaming hands and steaming chemical reactions! There will be door prizes, dessert and juice.  I got to talk with Jackie Oliphant, of the Boonslick Regional Library to talk about the close of summer reading and the reading clubs.

The party is open to all of the children and teens who participated in the Boonslick Regional Library summer reading programs.  You can still find out more about the reading clubs or any of their other events by going to their website.  For more information, call 827-READ.

Fizzingly yours,
Behka
