Four Warsaw and two Wheatland people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Benton County at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened when a northbound 2009 Ford Fusion cross the center line on Route K, one mile south of Missouri 83. The driver, 17-year-old Mikayla Andrews, then swerved to avoid a southbound 2010 Ford F-150, driven by 47-year-old Adrienne M. Gardiner of Wheatland. The Fusion was then impacted by the Ford, the report said.

Mikayla Andrews of Warsaw suffered serious injuries and was transported by Citizen's Memorial EMS to Cox South Hospital.

Colton Andrews, 14, and Sam Andrews, 16, Warsaw, both suffered moderate injuries and were both transported by air EMS to Cox South Hospital.

Tanya R. Andrews, 47, Warsaw, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Citizen's Memorial EMS to Cox South Hospital.

Adrienne Gardiner of Wheatland suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Rachel E. Gardiner, 5, Wheatland, suffered minor injuries and was transported Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.

Benton County deputies assisted the patrol at the scene.
