Behka’s Enquiring Minds Recap: Week of August 4 [OPINION]

Every day here on our stations, I'm thinking about different ways to interact with you.  I know this whole radio thing isn't just me out there talking to myself.  So it's very important to me that I get your input on stuff!  That's what the weekly Enquiring Minds surveys are all about, picking your brain and seeing what you think about stuff. I started off this week by asking you about the upcoming Missouri State Fair concerts.  I wanted to know, which shows are you looking forward to most?  The vast majority of you voted for Florida Georgia Line.  In second place was the Sara Evans and Joe Nichols show, followed closely by Jake Owen.  But there were some votes for Mercy Me, too.  And, an answer or two I didn't expect:

None, can't afford to go.

Well, I certainly hope you've been keeping your eyes and ears peeled, because we've been giving away tickets on the air and on the web, too. Free is always good!

On Tuesday, I asked about an interesting story that came across my little wedge cubicle thingy.   Basically, a scientist has worked out how to make ice cream that changes colors.  So of course that got me thinking about DELICIOUS ICE CREAM.   I had to know, what are your favorite ice cream flavors?

It's very hard to find these days, but its Lime sherbet.  omg goooood.

OKAY. I have to stop, or I'm gonna be clearing out the entirety of Dairy Queen in about two seconds.

On Wednesday, I asked you guys about earworms.  You know, those songs that get stuck in your head and won't let go?  I wanted to know what songs have been stuck in your head recently, and what you've done to be rid of them.

Luke Bryan play it again.. and I would never try to get him out of my head!

 

Awwww, somebody has a country crush! Well, I guess you got a good choice there.

Don't worry be happy.  I just listen to different songs.

Well, then, I guess when it comes to earworms, you've found "The One That You Want".... right?  See what I did there?!  I'll be here all week, thanks.

Dirt Road Anthem. Nope just let it roll. :) Usually when I have a song stuck in my head that I want to get out, I whistle the Andy Griffith tune, and it seems to work.

Hey, there's an idea. Some other songs you had stuck in your heads included Hunter Hayes' "I Want Crazy", a few tunes by Scotty McCreery, "Donkey" by Jerrod Neiman and "Beachin" by Jake Owen.

On Thursday, I asked about a story I read that says that half of men and 52% of women have gone to work hungover.  So I have to ask you: have you ever done that?  Could anyone tell? And the most important thing - was it worth it?  While a good portion of you said "No" like half the survey said...  some of us were a little more rebellious.

I used to go to work hung over a lot when i was younger it was probably the worst day ever when i did show up hung over usually got over it in the afternoon and then all i think about is going to sleep when i get home which usually doesn't happen so it would be a rough day all day!

I bet that did make for a rough day at work.

More than once, I worked in a bar for a while so it was acceptable.

Ahhh, unless you work at a bar, then I would see people being more understanding.

 Yes I have. I feel it is more important to be at work. Of course I don't go out much anymore.

See, now this is about where I'm at. I don't go out! I guess I just don't really vibe on the bar scene much anymore, I'm too boring. I just stay home and watch the History Channel.
