Back when 'American Reunion' was first announced, we were excited not only to see some of our favorite 'American Pie' characters reunited after years of sub-standard DVD movies, but also to see the re-appearance of former lime-lit actors like Natasha Lyonne. Despite a few off years, it seems the 'Slums of Beverly Hills' actress has found a new home on FOX, but what could a new sitcom from Natasha Lyonne have to say?

Following the success of 'American Reunion' and a recent well-received guest spot in the 'Weeds' series finale, original 'American Pie' star Natasha Lyonne is headed back to TV.  Deadline reports that the sometime-troubled actress has been tapped to develop and star in her own as-yet-untitled sitcom, loosely based on her own experiences coming out of rehab and looking to start over as a sober young adult.

Having previously guested on 'New Girl,' Lyonne's new FOX sitcom would see her character Stella moving  in with her conservative brother and his young family. 'Rules of Engagement' and Matthew Perry vehicle 'Mr. Sunshine' scribes Alex Barnow and Marc Firek will write the project and executive produce. Lyonne is also set to appear in Netflix's upcoming Jenji Kohan series 'Orange is the New Black.'

What say you? Would you be interested in seeing a former 'American Pie' star granted her own show?
