You've heard of ghosting.  Now, there's another terrible term for a terrible thing to do to someone you're dating! Every day when I read these things, I am more thankful that I am out of the dating scene. It was hard enough to get together and stay together, and I don't know what I'd do in today's crazy dating trends.

Well, here's the latest, and it's called "stashing".  Stashing is when someone is basically hiding you from their life. If you're dating someone, and you haven't met any of their friends, family, co-workers, but they've met yours... they might be stashing you away. If you have posted pictures of you and them together or mentioned them in social media, but they have never done that with you, you might be a victim of stashing.

Basically it means that the person does want to date you, but doesn't want anyone else to KNOW they're dating you. Or at least no one important in their life. It's like they're hiding you away and not admitting that they're involved with you. Isn't that terrible? I mean, jeez louise, come on. I'm not saying this a new thing, by the way. I think I've seen other people be "stashed" in college. I know I had a guy I dated who I didn't do that to, but at the same time, I didn't go OUT of my way to introduce him to people. And it wasn't so bad because I ended it before I met his family, so it probably doesn't count.

I guess it's just gotten common enough now that we have a term for it! Eugh. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Husbando. If we get divorced, I'm going to sit on my couch with my cats and a box of wine and never leave the house again.

Marriedly yours,
Behka
