Fu Manchu have released a lyric video to "Clone of the Universe," which can be viewed above. It's the title track to their 12th album, which is coming out on Feb. 9.

“‘Clone of the Universe’ was the last song written for the new record,” frontman Scott Hill told Billboard, where the track premiered. “On one of the final days of practice, our drummer, Scott Reeder, was doing these fast drum beats and rolls and I thought it sounded great," he says. "Next practice, first thing we did was have Reeder do that exact drumming he did the practice before and I played the riff over it. We added it to the ending of the song and now the song was complete.”

The seven-song album concludes with an 18-minute track called "Il Mostro Atomico," which is broken into four sections and features guitar work from Alex Lifeson of Rush. The band believe it's the heaviest song they've ever recorded, and Hill is looking forward to bringing it out on tour.

“We are excited to get out and play this stuff, especially 'Il Mostro Atomico,'" Hill said. "We think it’s some the strongest music we’ve ever done. We really love the overall sound of the album and having Alex play on it is just incredible. It gives it that special validation for the idea that we had to try something like a side long song.”

That tour will begin on Feb. 9 at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. After another show the next night in San Diego, they'll spend March in Europe but will return to the U.S. and play three weeks worth of dates in May. Check the schedule below.
