There's going to be a really fun event in Warsaw coming up next month. The 5th Annual Quarter Mania Fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society will take place on Saturday, March 7 at the Warsaw Community Building.

They'll have games, food, and great items to bid on in their auction. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. The potato bar opens at 5:00 p.m. and the paddle auction is from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. I got to talk with Sharon Geuss, one of the organizers of the event, about all the details.

Relay For Life is a community based fundraising event of the American Cancer Society. Today, more than 5,000 Relay For Life events take place across twenty countries. Events are held in local communities, campus universities, and in virtual worlds. Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's most successful fundraiser and the organization's signature event that acts to fulfill the mission of improving survival from cancer, decreasing the incidence of cancer, and improving the quality of life for those who have been diagnosed with cancer. It is estimated that Relay For Life events have raised nearly $5 billion to date. Every little bit helps to fight this terrible disease.

Advance tickets are $15. Purchase a paddle, sold separately, for $50. The ticket includes the dinner, a white paddle for bidding, and hourly door prizes. To purchase tickets, volunteer, donate items for the auction, or for questions, call Sharon at 660-438-6065.

Auctionally yours,
