Two Accused of Passing Counterfeit Bills in Sedalia
Two people were arrested for passing counterfeit bills in separate cases at two Sedalia convenience stores.
53-year-old Mark Anthony Purinton was arrested Saturday and transported to the Pettis County Jail after he allegedly attempted to pay with a fake $20 bill at Break Time in the 800 block of E. Broadway. Purinton was booked and released from the Pettis County Jail. The case is being sent to the Pettis County Prosecutor for review.
On Friday, 47-year-old Shelley Lee Garrison of Sweet Springs was located and arrested for forgery after being identified through security footage as a suspect attempting to pass a counterfeit $50 bill at Tiger Eagle Stop in the 3400 block of E. Broadway.
