Two people from Smithton and one from Lincoln were treated for moderate to serious injuries following a vehicle collision on June 29.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 2015 Nissan Altima failed to yield to a 2015 Dodge Caravan while making a left turn on MO 52, just before 7 p.m.

The driver of the Altima, 15-year-old Amanda Cook of Smithton, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by private vehicle for medical treatment. A passenger, 42-year-old Angela Cook, was seriously injured and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Cole Camp EMS.

The driver of the Dodge Caravan, 28-year-old Sarah Keuper of Lincoln, was taken by private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center for the treatment of moderate injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says all three people were wearing safety devices at the time of the accident. Both vehicles suffered moderate damage and were towed from the scene.
