The St. Louis Cardinals Caravan made its first stop in Sedalia in several years on January 19. Players, former players and broadcasters greeted fans and signed autographs for kids 15 and under at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center at State Fair Community College.

"In all the years that I've done games, going back to when Babe Ruth played Tee-ball, I think this particular setup the Cardinals have, that they've put in place over the last 15 years, I have not seen a more positive group come to the Major League level," said emcee John Rooney when addressing the issue of young players in the Cardinals' lineup. "What these guys did last year was really unbelievable...these guys don't just come up and say 'well, we're in the big league clubhouse and ballpark, and this is all nice.' They are here to get into a ballgame and make something happen."

Players that attended the St. Louis Cardinals Caravan in Sedalia included Dakota Hudson, Mike Mayer, Chasen Shreve, Andrew Knizner, Joe Magrane, Danny Cox and Harrison Bader.
