Tamera Mowry-Housley is mourning the death of her niece, Alaina.

On Monday (November 12), the TV star shared a touching tribute to her niece, who was murdered during the California shooting last week, in an Instagram post celebrating her 6-year-old son's birthday.

Mowry-Housley uploaded a photo of her little boy, Aden, and Alaina together and beaming for the camera, writing in the caption, "Happy 6th birthday Aden! Alaina was excited to come to your birthday party. But as you said buddy, 'She lives in your heart now.' We love you."

On Thursday (November 8), the day following the deadly November 7 shooting at the Borderline Bar & Grill shooting, Mowry-Housley frantically posted online after her niece, Alaina Housley, hadn't come home the night of the attack according to Alaina's roommate. She later confirmed that the teen had been killed during the shooting.

"My heart breaks. I’m still in disbelief. It’s not fair how you were taken and how soon you were taken from us. I was blessed to know you ever since you were 5. You stole my heart," the actress wrote in an Instagram post.
