However many loved Season 1 of CBS’ Supergirl, few would argue the DC drama suffered a few growing pains, and left room for improvement in Season 2. Moving to The CW (and Vancouver) makes that transition difficult to gauge, but producer Andrew Kreisberg claims Supergirl Season 2 will enjoy the same boon that Arrow did in its revered second run.

Just as yesterday brought us a fresh look at The Flash Season 3, so too is Arrow opening the quiver for our first Season 5 footage since Comic-Con 2016. Laurel’s legacy is at last unveiled, while Mayor Queen gets an intimidating new foe and some rough meetings in a new trailer.

The Flash has a habit of arriving at classic characters in roundabout ways, whether Reverse Flash or the real Jay Garrick, but Season 2's sly introduction of the Black Flash may not bear fruit just yet. Producers have no immediate plans to return the character for Season 3, even as Barry has yet another demonic speedster on his plate.

Whether or not you buy Joss Whedon hanging around the Arrow-verse, it looks like another Marvel star is making the leap. With Jessica Jones Season 2 off in the distance, Wil Traval will become a Human Target for Arrow’s fifth run, once again trying to protect a brooding hero.

There’s still a great deal of mystery around The Flash Season 3, not the least of which will finally introduce Mirror Master, and return an old friend. Or is that foe? Yes, Wentworth Miller’s Captain Cold will return for a chilly rivalry with the next generation of Flash rogues, including a gender-swapped version of The Top.

Even as The CW becomes a conglomerate of TV superheroes, you didn’t think the young-skewing network would let vampires go, did you? With The Vampire Diaries on its way out, and The Originals approaching a middle, The CW has in mind to reboot vampire classic The Lost Boys with a surprisingly ambitious generational twist.

Arrow Season 5 has made clear enough its intent for Oliver to build a new team of heroes, one we thought an some point to include Colton Haynes’ Roy Harper. The actor certainly suggested as much in passing, but certain Scream Queens may have a monopoly on Haynes’ time, preventing an immediate Arrow return.

DC and The CW have a habit of granting practical wishes of fans and reporters, to the point that fan-fervor brought Constantine’s Arrow appearance, the Flash-Supergirl crossover and more, most recently cementing a musical crossover for the latter two in 2017. Recent rumors have suggested that Joss Whedon himself might direct the two-part musical extravaganza, with Neil Patrick Harris to boot, but is there any truth to them?

The path to Grodd has been a rewarding one for Flash fans, to slowly set up his arrival in Season 1, and go full Fay Wray in Season 2, so you didn’t think we’d leave that killa gorilla out in the jungle for Season 3, did you? Oh yes, The Flash Season 3 is headed to Grodd’s Gorilla City, and for two full episodes at that.

Supergirl may have broken down the wall keeping major DC heroes like Superman off of TV, but despite recent rumors, no one from the Bat-family will be joining the Arrow-verse anytime soon. Executive producer Greg Berlanti shoots down recent speculation, as well that they’d even tried to bring Bruce Wayne to Star City.
