The UCM Mules weren't the only local team to win a championship this weekend. Smith-Cotton High School's Team SCREAM won the FIRST Oklahoma Regional robotics championship and are headed to the FIRST Robotics World Championship in St. Louis.
Smith-Cotton High School's robotics team "Team SCREAM" has been awarded a $5,000 grant from NASA for the second year in a row. The grant goes toward Team SCREAM's registration fee for the FIRST Robotics Greater Kansas City Regional competition in March.
