The Sedalia Lion’s Club is hosting the 5th Annual Donnie Hunter Memorial Compact Figure 8 Scramble and Tuff Truck Challenge on Saturday, September 9th, 2017.

This week has been a sad moment for Sedalia. One of the sweetest people in all of Pettis County died this week.

Mother Nature has caused a lot of cancellations and postponements, but you'll be able to have a lot of fun for the benefit of the Sedalia Lions Club Saturday night (June 6) at the Swine Pavillion on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. When the kids are out of school, you're always looking for something to do, right?  During the school year, it seems like there's nothing but extracurricular stuff and sports and social things to keep them active.  But in the summer, that's a little more challenging - and how do you keep THEM entertained without boring yourself to tears? I've got the answer.

One of my favorite events of the year is coming up this weekend, The Sedalia Lions Club Blues Cruise and BBQ Festival.  I enjoy the food, the beverages, the fellowship, but my favorite is definitely the music! Which band do you want to see the most?

One of the bands performing at the Lions Club Blues Cruise and BBQ Festival on June 1 is a great young band out of Columbia: Mojo Roots.  These guys may be young, but they certainly understand and pay tribute to history of the blues, and I respect that a lot.  They have a new CD out and it is terrific!

I'm going to take a break from radio story time to let you know how you can win some tickets to the Lions Club Blues and BBQ Festival.  The festival is on June 1 and will be held at the Swine Pavilion on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.

Chris Koetting was on my show this morning to announce the music lineup for the 2013 Blues Cruise and BBQ Festival.  This year's event will be held on June 1.

The Locash Cowboys put on a great show this past Saturday night (Dec. 15) at the Liberty Center.  Part of the night's festivities was a silent auction, which included a couple of LoCash autographed guitars.  The proceeds went to the Sedalia Lions Club Coats and Shoes program.
