Folks, for a few years now, Justin Lawson has organized this huge local music event: Making the Band.  If you don't know what it is, well, then you must live under a rock or something.  Is it moldy under there?  It must be at least somewhat comfortable, I mean, you choose to live there.  Anyway...

Lonestar is coming to Sedalia on June 22 for a free concert.

Something huge is coming to the State Fair Community College.  Not only will there be scads of teenagers, but sequins, rhinestones, dance shoes and EXCITEMENT. Sixteen choirs from 13 school districts will compete Jan. 10 at the 2015 State Fair Community College invitational Show Choir Festival in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia campus.

Sedalia is very familiar with the sounds of Ragtime Music.  After all, we've had the Scott Joplin Festival every year and there are so many reminders of it all over town, you might actually see something about it every day.  It gets easy to take it for granted.  But then, all you need is a stirring performance... and your appreciation can get refreshed.
