It's nearing the end of the semester for State Fair Community College.  They're hosting some holiday concerts this weekend and celebrating the season with Jingle On The Green this week.

The State Fair Community College Music Arts program will have their holiday music concerts at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7 in the Stauffacher Theatre on the Sedalia campus. The program will feature the SFCC Chamber Choir, Jazz Choir and Jazz Runners jazz band performing both secular and sacred songs of the season from Baroque to gospel.

Along with that, State Fair Community College invites the community to its sixth annual “Jingle on the Green” from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 5 on the Sedalia campus.   The free community holiday celebration will feature thousands of luminaries, holiday music and desserts. The public is invited to stroll the campus, view the lights and visit holiday-themed stations with festively decorated trees.  Parking will be available in all lots on campus.

I got to talk with Ron Sayer with the State Fair Community College music programs to tell us about the different stations and music you can expect to see with Jingle on the Green and the Christmas Concerts.

The Jingle on the Green is free, and  there's a small charge ($6, for groups of ten or more there's a discount) for tickets to the Christmas Concerts. For more information or to buy tickets online, go to sfccmo.edu/thearts; call the SFCC box office at (660) 596-7387 from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; or email tickets@sfccmo.edu.

Winterly yours,
Behka
