The 2018 Smith-Cotton High School Homecoming game and activities is slated for October 5 and 6.

The theme for this year's Homecoming is The Greatest School on Earth!

Homecoming activities begin Friday, Oct. 5 at 11:00 a.m. in the Heckart Performing Arts Center at S-C High with a presentation of the Sedalia School District Foundation Distinguished Alumni Award. This year's recipient is Chuck Kempton, a 1978 S-C graduate.

The Homecoming Parade begins later that afternoon in Downtown Sedalia at 3:00 p.m.

From 5 - 7:00 p.m. the foundation will present a free Tailgate Party at the S-C High gymnasium. Food includes hot dog or hamburger, chips and drink. SSDF thanked Tyson Foods for sponsoring the event.

The main event kicks off at 7:00 p.m. as the Tigers football team hosts the Rock Bridge Bruins! Adult tickets to the game are $5.00, while Sedalia students are $2.00. Senior citizens and children under 5 are free. Admission for all other students is $3.00.

Then on Saturday morning (Oct 6), the foundation will host a pancake & sausage breakfast in the cafeteria at Smith-Cotton Junior High from 7:30 - 9:30. Tickets are $5.00 each. Children 4 years and under are free. During the breakfast there will be vocal music performances by "Future Alumni" in the cafeteria and auditorium. An open house will also take place, where alumni and class reunions are welcome to walk the halls and reminisce about their time at S-C.

From 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. there will be tours by current students and administrators.

At 2:00 p.m. at S-C Junior High, there will be a free rock and roll concert featuring music of the 1950s and 60s, which will be performed by 1958 graduate Ken Williams and the Flashbacks!
