An accident in Benton County at 3:30 p.m. on August 15 led to minor to serious injuries for six people, including three teenagers and a 5-year-old girl.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 2009 Ford Fusion crossed the center line and Route K and collided with a 2010 Ford F 150.

Two passengers in the Fusion, 14-year-old Colton Andrews and 16-year-old Sam Andrews, of Warsaw, were flown by Air EMS to Cox South Hospital. The driver of that vehicle, 17-year-old Mikayla Andrews and another passenger, 43-year-old Tanya Andrews, were also taken to Cox South by ambulance.

The driver and a passenger of the Ford F 150, 47-year-old Adrienne Gardiner and 5-year-old Rachelle Gardiner, of Wheatland, were taken to Bothwell Hospital by Warsaw Lincoln EMS.

Both vehicles were reportedly totaled and towed from the scene.
